D. DuBose Egleston, Jr., is the sixth Head of School of Porter-Gaud and has served in the role since 2009. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the Governing Board of the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES). Previously, he served as PG’s Assistant Head for Finance and Operations and as Director of Technology. He has more than 20 years of experience in independent schools. As a student, DuBose attended O’Quinn and then Porter-Gaud for 12 years, graduating in 1993. He then studied chemistry and biology at Furman University, received a Master of Business Administration at The Citadel, and studied as a Klingenstein Fellow at Columbia University. He is proud to lead PG’s excellent faculty and staff and appreciates being part of a school family that sees so much hope and promise in the next generation. He also enjoys working around young people and watching them group in the years they are at PG.
