Crystal Land is a senior associate at Leadership + Design and has spent her career leading and working in independent schools. Land recently retired as the head of school at the Head-Royce School in Oakland, California, where she previously served in a variety of administrative and academic roles for over 30 years. Land has designed and facilitated workshops for school leaders in the Bay Area and nationwide on topics including strategic planning, developing leadership team capacity, school governance and conflict resolution. She currently serves on the board of directors of the CATDC (California Teacher Development Collaborative). Land holds a master’s degree from Middlebury College and Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree from U.C. Berkeley.
