Sarah Hanawald serves as One Schoolhouse’s assistant head of school for professional development and new programs.  She has been a classroom teacher, a technology director and an academic dean at three North Carolina independent schools. Hanawald’s work has focused on the intersection of technology, curriculum and pedagogy in defining the future of education. She served as the first executive director of the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS), and as the CEO of One to One Institute, an organization dedicated to digital equity for all learners. Sarah has a BA from Duke University and an M.Ed. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
