The NBOA Human Resources Institute (HRI) equips independent school professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage people operations within an independent school environment. This four-day, immersive experience provides foundational guidance on the regulations and compliance issues most relevant to independent schools, as well as essential components of strategic HR leadership and emerging trends. Expand your understanding of HR administration, learn the latest in compensation, benefits and employment practices, and keep up with regulatory changes. You’ll also gain tools to mitigate risk while respecting the culture that makes your community thrive.
Human Resources Institute (HRI) is for professionals with responsibilities in or oversight for HR in independent schools. Attendees may include human resources directors, business officers who oversee the HR function and those aspiring to become the HR director at an independent school.
NBOA’s in-house subject matter experts, partners in the legal field and a faculty of experienced independent school HR professionals will lead more than a dozen informational sessions, interspersed with facilitated discussions on topics such as cultural alignment and process implementation.
To augment the in-person program, additional materials will be provided before the Institute for self-study. This may include recorded lessons, written resources and more to enhance your learning related to critical independent school business and operations issues.
