The NBOA Leadership Academy is a one-year leadership development program designed for a select cohort of independent school business office professionals ready to gain the skills and organizational perspectives necessary to grow and advance as an independent school business leader.

Through a partnership with the Independent School Leadership M.Ed. Program at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development, participants will

  • Enhance their understanding of the complex roles and responsibilities of school leadership
  • Learn the importance of building relationships throughout their independent school communities, with strategies to do so successfully.
  • Begin to develop a leadership profile and personal plan of action to elevate their impact in their school communities.
  • Participate in an impactful mentor group project with findings presented at the NBOA Annual Meeting as well as a personal reflection at year-end.
