Fostering collaborative affiliation with vendors and managing risk through contracting will contribute to the success of your school’s mission. Heather DeBlanc is the chair of Liebert Cassidy Whitmore (LCW)’s business and facilities practice group. She practices education, construction, business, contract and employment law, representing both nonprofit and public entity clients. DeBlanc has been practicing construction law for over 20 years, advising clients as to appropriate project delivery methods, contracting, the construction process and construction disputes. In addition, DeBlanc regularly advises private schools, nonprofits and other types of educational institutions on vendor contracts/disputes, services agreements, facilities leasing, facilities use agreements, real estate transactions, and many other facilities related issues. She is a member of the El Segundo Unified School District’s facilities advisory committee and a member of the California Council of School Attorneys.
