| Webinar

Schools plan various special events, like town fairs, fundraising galas, proms, concerts, shows, college or high school fairs, and open houses for their students and the community. Explore points every business officer should consider during the planning process. Beyond the who, what, when, where, and why of your school’s special event, consider the related legal issues that require specific insurance coverage. We will discuss how to manage those details through contracting and insurance, and how to create best practices to ensure your special events pose minimal risk.

Learning Objectives: By the end of the session, each participant will know how to:

  1. identify the steps to plan a special event
  2. recognize various legal issues in relation to the nature of the special event
  3. pinpoint the nature of insurance required
  4. understand key contract points that can lower risk to the school.
