Gen Z Employees Feel Disconnected, Survey Shows

(From Gallup) Compared with older generations, young people entering the workforce today are more likely to experience stress and work-related burnout, according to Gallup's 2022 Workforce Panel study. The research, which is based on a survey of over 16,000 US employees, found that over half of Gen Z and younger millennials feel ambivalent about their workplace, a little higher than other generations. Most young workers said that they don't feel a close connection to their coworkers, manager or employer. To improve wellbeing in the workplace, researchers at Gallup suggest employers invite younger employees to participate in coaching, mentorship programs, volunteer opportunities.
