Workers Feel Replaceable Despite Hiring Surge

(From HR Dive) Today's workforce is experiencing a significant misalignment between employees and employers, as revealed in an April 2 report by University of Phoenix Career Institute. More than half (53%) of Americans report feeling easily replaceable in their job position and 64% of workers say their company does not offer opportunities for internal mobility, according to the report. Meanwhile, 27% of workers say they don't feel empowered in their current job. At the same time, 44% of employers said they haven’t found talent in the past year due to a lack of well-qualified applicants.
