University Leader Claims Mandatory Zoom Meeting Violated ADA

(From HR Dive) Drexel University in Philadelphia faces an ADA lawsuit for allegedly violating the rights of an executive with PTSD. The plaintiff, a vice president and chief compliance and privacy officer, had asked for a private meeting or a switch to telephone due to her PTSD and anxiety. Following the Zoom meeting, the manager accused her of insubordination, resulting in administrative leave. While the ADA doesn’t mandate a good-faith interactive process for accommodation, it encourages such efforts.
