(More from Education Week) A recent survey conducted by Education Week delves into the sentiments of educators regarding their safety in school settings. Approximately 40% of educators said their sense of safety at work has decreased compared to 2019. Among that group, 15% said their sense of safety has decreased “a lot.” Their concerns encompassed issues such as inadequate safety protocols, insufficient enforcement of guidelines and lack of proper training for emergencies. The survey results highlight the need for ongoing evaluation and improvement of safety measures in schools.
