Mar 13, 2023, 8:27 AM

(from the SEC) The Securities and Exchange Commission announced on March 9 that Blackbaud Inc. agreed to pay $3 million to settle charges for making misleading disclosures about a 2020 ransomware attack that impacted more than 13,000 customers. In July of 2020 Blackbaud announced that the attacker had not accessed sensitive information in client accounts, but some employees knew that information had been breached. The full extent of the breach was not reported up to top management due to inadequate processes, and therefore the company reported only part of what it knew to the SEC.
