Schools Respond to Antisemitism and Islamophobia

(From K-12 Dive) Amidst escalating tensions following the 2023 Hamas-led attack on Israel, antisemitic incidents surged by almost 400%, accompanied by 774 Islamophobia complaints from Oct. 7 to Oct. 24. In response, schools are utilizing educational resources, implementing student-led initiatives such as No Place for Hate, and forming partnerships with organizations like the Anti-Defamation League. Additionally, educators are also technology to set up ways for students to report disturbing incidents. Experts say the application of resources, not the resources themselves, that will make the difference.
