(from Venable) As independent schools approach a return to normalcy, school leaders would be wise to review their student and employee handbooks to ensure that they reflect applicable federal, state and local guidance and best practices. Relevant issues to consider when finalizing COVID-19 policies include changes to CDC policy, such as:

  • Quarantine for Exposures No Longer Required
  • Changes in Isolation Guidelines for Symptomatic Individuals 
  • Masks Encouraged, but Not Required
  • Testing Programs No Longer Recommended
  • Vaccine Policies
