Parents Favor Moderate Cell Phone Rules in Schools

(From The74) Parents largely recognize the positive impact of cell phones on their children, despite concerns about distractions and social media usage, according to a new survey by the National Parents Union. Respondents said they value cell phones for emergency communication (80%), coordinating transportation (50%), and monitoring mental health (40%). The survey, polling 1,506 parents of K-12 public school students, showed little support for strict school cell phone policies like locking phones in pouches.
