Most Schools Unequipped To Support Mental Health Needs

(from Campus Safety) Results of the 2023 School Safety Survey, conducted by Raptor Technologies and the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO), reveal that 60% of school leaders cited mental health issues as the greatest obstacle to school safety. Over 50% said they aren fully equipped to assist with the mental health-related needs of their students. The top two most-needed safety improvements are physical security and training, and the top two tools and processes most frequently identified were door hardening and emergency communication.
