Ghosting Comes to Job Candidates

(From SHRM) Job candidates are increasingly reporting instances of being "ghosted" during the hiring process, according to a recent survey by Greenhouse, a New York City-based software company. The term refers to when employers fail to provide updates or any communication after interviews or completing application stages. The data showed that a significantly higher percentage of candidates from historically underrepresented groups (78%) than white candidates (62%) reported having been ghosted.
