Interest in Management Roles Is Declining, Study Shows

(From Inc) According to recent research from LinkedIn, nearly 70% of professionals would leave a job because of a bad manager. Despite this, only 30% say they want to become a people manager in the next few years. One reason may be the lack of training: most new managers receive eight hours or less, and many get none at all. To address this, companies should map leadership paths, provide targeted development and ensure mentorship is in place, according to author Justin Bariso.
