(from EdWeek and the 74) Most educators (72%) say that teaching students on how to use tech tools powered by artificial intelligence — and understanding the potential pitfalls of the technology — should be a priority, according to a recent EdWeek survey. But only 1 in 10 say that they know enough basics about artificial intelligence to teach it or use it to some degree in their work. 87% say they have not received any professional development about incorporating AI into curriculum.

A different survey by Impact researchers found the 58% of teachers view ChatGPT favorably, while 61% of parents do. Meanwhile, a higher percentage of teachers say they use the tool (62%) more than of students (42%). And now 64% of teachers say ChatGPT should be available for use with schoolwork.
