A New Approach to DEI?

(From Harvard Business Review) The DEI backlash has caused many organizations to rethink their approach, often rebranding and sticking to current initiatives until legally forced to change. However, a new framework — FAIR — is gaining traction as a fresh approach to DEI:

• Fairness: Ensure policies and practices meet diverse needs while maintaining high standards for all.
• Access: Remove barriers to participation and design inclusive environments.
• Inclusion: Create a respectful, valued, and safe environment for all identities and experiences.
• Representation: Ensure all voices are represented in decision-making and leadership.
