Michael Bergin, Chief Financial and Operating Officer, Miss Porter’s School

Bergin is the chief financial and operating officer at Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, Connecticut. A recognized thought leader in independent school finance and operations, Bergin also serves as Grace Academy Hartford’s chair of the board and on The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) board of trustees. Prior to joining Miss Porter’s School, Bergin held senior leadership positions at the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Georgetown University. He previously served as a trustee at La Salle University and on the Special Love, Inc. board of directors.

Claire Theobald, Board Member and Chair of the Finance Committee, Miss Porter's School

Theobald joined the board of Miss Porter's School in 2017. She currently acts as chair of the finance committee and board treasurer, and serves on the buildings and grounds committee. Theobald has worked for several design and advertising firms, including Tigerman McCurry Architects, Ralph Appelbaum Associates and Ogilyy & Mather. Theobald is co-owner and co-founder of Beatrix New York, a boutique global children’s accessories manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer established in 2007.

Katherine G. Windsor, Head of School, Miss Porter’s School

Windsor is the 12th head of school at Miss Porter’s School. Prior to Miss Porter's School, she served as the head of The Sage School in Foxboro, Massachusetts. She currently serves as the board chair of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls, as well as on the boards of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges: Commission on Independent Schools, the Student Participatory Action Research Collaborative and the Parents League of New York. She is also a professor at the University of Pennsylvania and serves on the university’s executive committee for the independent school residency program. Windsor is a frequent lecturer on leadership and single-sex education.

State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
