In this workshop, learn the essentials of HR practices in independent schools. Participants will learn the importance of job descriptions and their role in risk management and employee retention. This workshop will discuss classifying and paying employees and best practices to ensure benefit program compliance even in a small business office. Finally, participants will examine policies and procedures for hiring, performance management and separations to ensure they are both meeting their legal obligations to employees and practicing good risk management in this crucial area of school operations.
