Tuition discounting plays a role in helping independent schools live their missions and serves as a tool to increase diversity, affordability and access to an independent school education. However, schools need to keep an eye on discounting’s impact on long-term financial sustainability. Learn about the research findings from the Tuition Discounting Report for PK–12 Independent Schools: 2021-2023, NBOA’s recently released multi-year data analysis of need-based financial aid, merit aid/scholarships and tuition remission. In addition, Megan Fangmeyer, manager of product at FACTS, will provide reflections on the current trends in tuition discounting.
