Research shows sexual incidents between youth make up approximately half of sexual abuse incidents. Through extensive research and collaboration with leading experts, this topic provides an update on new research in problematic sexual behavior between youth and youth grooming behaviors both in-person and online, including “deep fakes” and AI. This session will further explore how your school can leverage this research to update policies and procedures and navigate a challenging insurance market.

McKeen’s most recent role prior to joining the fantastic team at Praesidium was with the CDC Foundation, leading a highly skilled team of CDC scientists to update and expand CDC’s 2007 publication “Preventing Child Sexual Abuse in Youth Serving Organizations: Getting Started on Policies and Procedures”. McKeen has planned and provided dynamic trainings to over 30,000 professionals across hundreds of live and online events. McKeen truly believes in Praesidium’s mission to prevent abuse of children and vulnerable adults and enjoys working with schools to find dynamic solutions to foster a culture of safety.

Darrow Milgrim is responsible for the oversight and development of the independent school practice at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. For over 30 years he has coordinated annual risk management seminars for school business officers and administrators. Milgrim is licensed as both a property and casualty broker and employee benefits broker. He has been director of camping and outdoor education and taught in the Cal State University System as well as public and private K12 schools. He currently serves on the Executive Board of the California Collaboration for Youth and United Educators National Broker Advisory Committee. Milgrim was previously a national board member of and the national legislative liaison of the American Camp Association (ACA).
