Schools not only bear an ethical duty to assist employees and students facing mental health challenges but carry some legal obligations under the ADA and other relevant laws. This webinar brings together an experienced business officer with legal experts to discuss the most complex issues surrounding claims of mental disabilities, including possible roadblocks in the interactive process and common ADA accommodation requests. Presenters will also provide practical tools for schools to properly handle these requests, all with an eye toward avoiding litigation.

Learning Objectives: Participants will learn about their legal obligations to employees and students with mental health issues or learning disabilities. Participants will also receive practical tips and strategies to apply to requests for accommodation or to risk issues that may arise from the disability.
